Alstom started construction of the eighth power package at TETs-26 heat and power plant (Mosenergo)
The scope of Alstom- Mosenergo contract includes the turn-key construction and commissioning of the КА26-1 combined cycle unit at the eighth power package.
The unit consists of the GT26 turbine rated at 288.3 MW, 135.7 MW steam turbine and Alstom turbogenerators for them. EMAlians is to supply the waste heat recovery system.
The new combined cycle unit rated at 424 MW will have the highest efficiency level in Russia, 58.3% (ISO). Besides, the unit will be able to produce the thermal energy of 308 MW (265 Gcal/h) through application of the waste heat recovery system. Alstom is the prime contractor. The construction is planned to be completed within 29 months. The commissioning of the power package is scheduled for the second quarter of 2009. |
