Renova Group and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) signed a contract for co-operation in power generation
The contract was signed on September 27, 2007. The scope of the contract includes manufac-turing of high power gas turbines (from 100 MW to 300 MW) and MHI technology steam turbines at the industrial site of Ural Turbine Works (the Renova Group subsidiary).
The contract also involves the partners into production distribution support and equipment maintenance service. One of the incorporators is Teploenergoservis-EK. Renova Group and MHI will increase their assets on the Russian power market in the field of heat recovery boilers and generator manufacturing on the base of MHI technology.
According to the RAO UES investment programme by 2020 Russian powerplants should be equipped with fifty-seven PGU-400 combined cycle power plants, nineteen PGU-800 power plants, thirty high power steam turbines. The companies are planning to contribute to the project implemen-tation.
