Power Machines completed manufacturing and testing of asynchronised turbine generators Print E-mail

Power Machines completed manufacturing and testing of asynchronised turbine generators and excitation systems for the third power unit of TETs-27 heat and power plant (Mosenergo)

Asynchronised turbogenerators are rated at 160 MW. Being a source of power supply they compensate excessive reactive power in megalopolises and prevent a voltage increase above the ac-ceptable level.

There are two variants of the excitation system in 160 MW asynchronised turbogenerator designed for TETs-27 heat and power plant. The axial and crosscut systems are based on the state-of-the-art conversion technique and equipped with the digital control system. According to Alexander Loginov, the Electrosila chief designer of the power machine excitation systems, this technology is applied for the first time.
The development strategy of the Russian power industry elaborated by RAO UES includes a wide application of asynchronised turbogenerators at powerplants. Power Machines deliver asyn-chronised turbogenerators to ТETs-21 heat and power plant (Mosenergo), Kashirskaya power plant and high power phase changer to Beskudnikovo substation.
