The first block of the PGU-325 combined-cycle unit (Ivanovskiye PGU) equipped with the GTE-110 gas turbines manufactured by NPO Saturn produced the design capacity
On August 30, 2007 the power block # 1 of the PGU-325 combined cycle unit equipped with the gas turbines GTD-110 # 2 and GTD-110 # 3 manufactured by NPO Saturn successfully passed the integrated factory tests at Ivanovskiye PGU (Komsomol, Ivanovo region).
During the tests of GTE-110 gas turbines the declared parameters were completely confirmed:
- the output power at generator terminals (nominal mode) is 110 МW;
- the efficiency is 36.6%.
The capacity of the gas turbine GTD-110 # 3 reached 118 МW. So this is the first project in the Russian power industry where the PGU-325 combined cycle powerplant is based on the Russian equipment. At present an assembling and commissioning service of the gas turbine GTD-110 # 4 takes place at Ivanovskie PGU. It was shipped by NPO Saturn on September 12, 2007 to replace the temporarily functioning GTD-110 # 2 gas turbine operated at the PGU-325 combined cycle power unit.
According to the five-year investment plan drawn up by RAO UES twelve GTE-110 gas tur-bine units manufactured by NPO Saturn are to be commissioned by 2011.
The agreement reached between RAO UES and NPO Saturn in June 2007 will provide the futher expansion of the GTE-110 gas turbines and their serial production in the Russian power in-dustry.
