The new powerplant constructed in Mordovia

According to the contract signed with Mordovtsement in March 2006, on September 30, 2007 two GE Energy-Aero Energy LM2500+G4 gas turbine power packages were embarked in the Hou-ston harbour.

The unloading took place in October in Saint-Petersburg. The equipment was shipped to the industrial site (Komsomolsky, Mordovia) in October-November 2007.
The LM2500+G4 is considered to be the most high power and state-of-the-art gas turbine power package of the LM2xxx family. It was manufactured by GE Energy-Aero Energy in Houston since 2005. The peak capacity is 32 MW. The combined cycle powerplant will include both gas tur-bines and a back-pressure steam turbine. The exhaust flow will be partially used for the cement dry-ing.
The general designer is Severo-Zapadnaya Engineering Company. The prime contractor is Remenergoservis (Saransk). The commissioning is planned for the first quarter of 2008.
