Two mobile powerplants were commissioned at Novosyrovo 110 kW substation

The scope of the contract signed by RAO UES and the Moscow City Government on Novem-ber 20, 2006 includes the construction of the mobile power plants

They are designed to improve the electric power supply reliability in Moscow and its suburbs in conditions of the rapidly increasing power demand by 6% per year.
Two similar Pratt & Whitney Power Systems plants were commissioned on February 22, 2007 at Daryino 110 kW substation. In October 2007 the similar power plants were put into operation at Pushkino 110 kW substation; in November 2007 - at Rublevo 110 kW substation. Ten mobile po-werplants with the total power capacity of 225 MW are planned to be installed in the Moscow re-gion.
Pratt & Whitney Power Systems plants successfully operate in more than fourty countries all over the world, i.e. in Canada, the USA, Germany, the United Kingdom, Norway and Israel. In summer 2004 they were used at Olympic Games in Athens; in winter 2006 – at Olympic Games in Turin.
According to the inspection results Rostehnadzor confirmed that the mobile power plants fit Russian environmental standards.
