OGK-5 (Wholesale Generating Company) signed a contract for the construction of 410 MW combined cycle powerplant at Sredneuralskaya state district power plant

In accordance with the contract the company Iberdrola Ingenieria Y Construccion, S.A.U. (Iberdrola S.A.) will complete works and put into operation completely packaged powerplant de-signed around the model of EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management).

The total contract volume is approximately USD 430 million including the turn-key equipment cost.
General Electric is nominated to be the manufacturer and supplier of the MS9001FB gas tur-bine with the shaft power of 266.7 MW (ISO), Skoda is delievering the heat steam turbine and Noo-ter/ Eriksen is supplying the heat recovery boiler.
The declared electrical efficiency of the powerplant is 57%. The company Black & Veatch Special Projects Corp. performed the precommissioned stage works. The comissioning is planned for 2010.
