Saturn-Gas Turbines signed a contract for the construction of GTES-18 gas turbine po-werplant in Naryan-Mar

The tender covering the construction of the powerplant second block was held by the Nenets Autonomous Area authorities.

Zvezda-Energetika was also among the competitors, but the tender required the rights to design and carry out the whole complex of installation and commissioning works. Saturn-Gas Turbines met all the requirements.
V.Mezhibovsky, the General Director of Saturn-Gas Turbines, and S.Shmelev, the Director of housing and utilities infrastructure, signed the contract on September 27, 2007. The scope of the contract includes equipment delivery and turn-key construction of 18 MW gas turbine power plant.
The first block consisting of two GTA-6RM gas turbine packages was commissioned on May 31, 2003. The accumulated operating time by October 2007 exceeded 65,000 hours.
At the same time the construction of a new booster compressor station is planned. It will pro-vide fuel gas parameters for GTES-12 and GTES-18 gas turbine powerplants year round.
The construction of GTES-18 gas turbine powerplant will be completed in June 2009.
