UGK TGK-8 territorial generating company announced the second tender for Volgogradskaya powerplant reconstruction

South generating company – TGK-8 announced the tender for choosing the prime constructor to develop and introduce the first part of Volgogradskaya powerplant. The proposals at the previously announced tender failed to match the documentation requirements.

The first stage of Volgogradskaya state district powerplant includes the installation of PT 30/35-90/10-5 steam turbine and construction of PGU-180 combined cycle plant, the turnkey construction is part of the powerplant upgrading.
The work will start in the beginning of 2008, the turbine will be commissioned in December 2009.
At the moment the power capacity of Volgogradskaya powerplant is 72 MW, heat rating is 247 Gcal/h. The powerplant is part of Volgograd Generation, a branch of UGK TGK-8.
The complete reconstruction of the powerplant built in the 1930-es is planned in three stages in 2008 – 2014.
