PG6581-series (MS6001B) gas turbines manufactured in France will be installed for the first time in Russia.
GE and Intertechelectro-New Generation Group signed a contract in December 2006.
The gas turbines can be operated in the cold climate of Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District within the temperature range from -60 to +30 °C.
The first gas turbine package (gas turbine and generator) was shipped to St. Petersburg and transferred to Noyabrsk industrial site. The equipment will be delivered by various means of transportation: the gas turbine – by the airplain, the generator – by railway. The rest of the equipment will be delivered by trucks.
The first gas turbine package (550 tons) was shipped to Noyabrskaya combined cycle powerplant within a month. The second package was shipped to St. Petersburg in November 2007.
Noyabrskaya combined cycle powerplant will consist of two power packages each rated at 62 MW.
Fuel will be consumed rationally about 180-200 g/kW*h. The fuel consumption is is 300-350 g/kW*h at a steam powerplant. The thermal capacity will be 95 Gkal.
The commissioning of the first power package is planned for the third quarter of 2008, the second package will be commissioned in the fourth quarter of 2008.
