TGK-4 generating company upgrades Kaluzhskaya TETs heat and power plant

The steam powerplant will be developed into combined cycle power plant. It will include LM2500+ DLE HSPT General Electric gas turbine equipped with dry, low emission combustion chamber.

The nominal output is 33 MW, the efficiency at generator terminals is 38%, NOx emission is below 25 ppm.
Earlier, TGK-4 Board of Directors named the Centre of Scientific Innovations in Power Industry as the general contractor. The subcontractors are TEPENGINEERING (the technical and economic assesment of the power project, operation instruction manual, inspection and test plan), VTI (the equipment checkout) and MU-9MEM (the assembling).
The project volume is approximately 904 million rubles. The combined cycle powerplant will increase Kaluzhskaya TETs power generation 6.5 times. The thermal capacity will increase 10 times.
The commissioning is planned for the fourth quarter of 2008.
