Ansaldo Energia S.p.A. to deliver gas turbines to Yugo-Zapadnaya TETs heat and power plant

On October 25, 2007 Ansaldo Energia S.p.A. and the general contractor Stroytransgaz signed a contract for the delivery of two V64.3A gas turbines for the first stage of the powerplant.

The electric capacity of gas turbines is 66 MW each. The fuel flow rate is 80% at the heat mode.
The general designer is Atomenergoproyekt. The commissioning of the first stage of Yugo-Zapadnaya TETs heat and power plant is planned for the fourth quarter of 2009. The electric capacity of the powerplant is 220 MW and the thermal capacity is 250 Gcal/h.
The powerplant is designed to meet power demands of the new blocks in Kirovsky and Krasnoselsky districts in Saint-Petersburg including Baltiyskaya Zhemchuzhina Complex more than 1 million sq. km in area.
