GPA-6DKS Ural gas booster compression package successfully passed exploratory tests
In November GPA-6DKS Ural gas booster compression package successfully passed exploratory tests at Myldzhinskaya booster compressor station (Vostokgazprom).
GTU-6PG gas turbine operates within the compression package for the first time. Usually 6 MW gas turbines (Perm Engine Company) were used only at gas turbine powerplants.
The compression package was designed around D-30 aircraft engine of the third series gas generator. The GPA-6DKS Ural rated at 6 MW has the efficiency of 26.4%. Time between overhauls is 25,000 hours, the specified life is 100,000 hours.
Two GPA-6DKS Ural gas booster compression packages designed by Iskra operate at Myldzhinskaya booster compressor station. They are equipped with centrifugal compressors. The interchangeable compressor bundles can provide the compression ratio from 1.1 to 3.4 Thus it guarantees the gas production of 3 milliard m³ per annum.
