Mosenergo put into operation two turbine expander gensets at TETs-23 heat and power plant

The commissioning was carried out on December 7, 2007. DGA-5000 turbine expander gensets manufactured by Krivorozhsky plant Energiya are equipped with the T-6-2ZU3.1 turbine generators produced by Privod.

The difference in pressure between the pipeline and powerplant fuel supply line drives the turbine.
The efficiency reaches 86%. The genset generates 80 million kWh of electricity a year.
The first turbine expander genset in Russian power industry was commissioned at TETs-21 heat and power plant (Mosenergo) in 1994. The second similar genset is installed at TETs-23 heat and power plant (Mosenergo).
