The state tests of the second Russian marine gas turbine engine produced by NPO Saturn were successful

On October 23, 2008 the acceptance act of M70FRU marine gas turbine engine with the maximum capacity of 14,000 hp was signed. M75RU and M70FRU (maximum capacity 7,000 hp) tested in 2006, are fourth-generation marine gas turbine engines designed around standard gas generator. The given military characteristics of M70FRU should be confirmed and recommendations of state commission on M75RU marine engine should be considered.
