Two GTU-20S gas turbines are to be delivered to Eletskaya powerplant
The scope of the Salut contract signed on November 7, 2006 includes the delivery of two power generation units to Eletskaya heat and power plant (Territorial Generation Company-4)...
A unit consists of a GTU-20S gas turbine, Salut APCS, Privod (Lysva-city) T-25-23U3-G generator and ZIO-Podolsk PKU-40-3.9-440 heat recovery steam generator.
Simultaneous operation of the state-of-the-art gas turbine engines with the efficiency of 35% and a steam turbine allows this combined cycle unit to reach the efficiency of 52%. The produced steam will be used both for the power plant’s auxiliaries and by the Kaluga Turbine Works PT-12/13-3.4/1,0-1 turbine, rated at 12 MW.
The equipment will be installed at the plant vacant site and it’ll allow the infrastructure to be used most efficiently. Energokaskad (Moscow) is the general designer and prime contractor.
The project will be financed both out of the company’s and borrowed funds. Commissioning of the first stage (20 MW) is scheduled for the first quarter of 2008. The entire powerplant with the total output of 52 MW is planned to enter commercial operation in the third quarter of 2008. |
