The first GTE-25U gas turbine power plant started the pilot operation
The event took place at TETs-29 power plant in Elektrostal city (Mosenergo’s branch of the state district power plant # 3) on the 11th of December, 2006...

The plant reached the peak output on the 22nd of December. Mosenergomontazh carried out the contractual works. The nominal electric output of the cogeneration gas turbine power plant is 31.4 MW and the thermal efficiency at ISO conditions is 31.4%. The thermal capacity is 49.8 MW; fuel consumption rate reaches 82%. A single-shaft GTE-25U gas turbine engine was developed and constructed by Ural Turbine Works (part of Renova Group) by the order of Mosenergo. The compression ratio is 13.5 and the turbine inlet temperature is 1060°C. The fuel gas flow is 7190 kg/h. The shaft rotation speed is 5940 rpm. The Privod T-32-2B3 generator is connected to the engine via the Nevsky Zavod reduction gear bringing the speed down to 3000 rpm. The exhaust gas temperature is 470°C. It transmits heat to the waste heat boiler manufactured by Krasniy Kotelshchik.
The boiler consists of the KV-53/180 (plant model is TKU-8) waste heat boiler equipped with a water-to-water heat exchanger and silencers. The intermediate heat carrier is heated by the turbine exhaust gases. The system water is heated by the intermediate heat carrier in a water-to-water heat exchanger. The intermediate heat carrier maximum flow is 457 t/h; the system water flow is 560 t/h. The waste heat boiler can be operated without a heat carrier and consequently without a by-pass tube, if necessary. The boiler and gas turbine are equipped with the Avtomatika control system. The equipment had been in storage for a long time; its installation began only in 2006.
The Siemens GT35C (17 MW) with an ABB STAL GTA 975CY generator has been operated at the same TETs-29 powerplant since 1999.
