They will be incorporated into five GPA-16 Ural gas compressor units designed and manufactured by Iskra. Kamensk-Shahtinskaya compressor station (Mostransgaz) is located on the 310 kilometer long main pipeline from Sohranovka to Oktiabrskaya compressor station. The designed throughput of the gas pipeline is approximately 24 billion m3 a year. Its diameter is 1420 mm and operating pressure is 7.4 MPa. The feasibility study for the construction was carried out by Giprogaztsentr.
The new gas pipeline was constructed particularly to refill the country’s largest Severostavropolsk USGF, underground gas storage facility which has the Federal Reserve status. Kamensk-Shakhtinskaya compressor station commissioned in the second quarter of this year is to provide the design parameters of the gas pipeline.
