NPO Saturn completed predelivery tests of GTD-110 engine
The third GTD-110 engine successfully passed predelivery testing on the stand of Ivanovskaya state district powerplant (Komsomolsk, Russia)...
It was tested on gas and liquid fuel. The engine met all required norms of thermal performance. The maximum output during the testing was 122 MW.
It is the first engine manufactured entirely by Saturn without Zorya-Mashproekt. On the New Year's Eve, on December 31, 2006 the third GTD-110 engine was delivered to the test stand. After the testing it was returned to the company site for disassembling and inspection of its primary components. Then the engine was reassembled for acceptance testing within the PGU-325 combined cycle unit in May. The fourth engine was shipped for testing in April.
The construction of the PGU-325 power unit is the first stage of one of the largest projects in the domestic power industry. It is erection of the new 650 MW power complex at Ivanovskaya state district powerplant. The second stage includes commissioning of one more power generating unit, rated at 325 MW. |
