72 MW powerplant to be built at the Vatyegansk field by the end of the year
Early 2007, Aviadvigatel and LUKOIL-Zapadnaya Sibir signed a contract for delivery of six GTU-12PG-2 gas turbines within EGES-12S powerplant at the Vatyegansk oil field located 100 km to the north-west from Surgut (20 km east of Kogalym)...

The GTU-12PG-2 drive is designed around the fourth-generation PS-90A aircraft engine gas generator with the efficiency of 33.7% (ISO). Privod (Lysva, Perm region) is to supply six TS-12-2RUHL3 special version turbine generators with nominal power rating of 12.36 MW for the Aviadvigatel EGES-12S powerplant. The heavy duty reduction gear will be designed and supplied by Kirov-Energomash Plant. The powerplants will be operated in simple cycle on casing head gas produced on the fields of Kogalymneftegaz.
The major part of design work will be carried out by GI VNIIPIET (St. Petersburg). The new gas turbine powerplant will be commissioned by the end of 2007 and will be the largest powerplant constructed for auxiliaries of LUKOIL.
